Maui Nui 2023 Food Summit

 

The HAPA Team is excited to be attending the Maui Nui 2023 Food Summit! Kamehameha Schools Maui, STEM Works, the Maui County Departmentment of Agriculture, Hawaiʻi Public Health Institute, and theMaui Nui Food Alliance will host the Maui Nui 2023 Food Summit on Friday, November 3, 2023 with the theme, Harvesting Hope: Growing a Resilient Food Future. The Maui Nui 2023 Food Summit will gather Maui Nui's food system leaders together to discuss getting local food into school cafeterias, building a resilient food future on Molokai, Lanaʻi, and Maui, and the development of a community-informed Maui County Food and Nutrition Security Plan. 

The Maui Nui 2023 Food Summit is a free event that is open to the community; participants must register by October 31st to attend. There are a limited number of travel stipends to support Lāna'i and Molokai farmers, ranchers, educators, and interested participants to attend. 

The food summit is made possible by support of the Hawaii‘i State Department of Health SNAP Ed Program; this institution is an Equal Opportunity Provider.
