What is the ‘Ai Pono Kauaʻi Challenge?
The ʻAi Pono Kauaʻi Challenge supports and celebrates locally grown, raised, sourced and prepared foods from Kauaʻi farmers, ranches, value added producers and suppliers. In doing so, we hope to inspire Kauaʻi residents to increase the amount of local food they buy and eat. Together we can transition our local food system, support local agriculture and increase the amount of food we consume that is grown here, not flown here!
For this fun and family friendly 7-day challenge, participants are encouraged to utilize various scavenger hunt card categories to engage in different ways to celebrate local foods. Registrants will be entered for a chance to win some awesome ʻAi Pono partner goodies & great giveaway prizes!

How to Participate?
Following registration, you will receive instructions and a virtual copy of your Scavenger Hunt Card. You will also be automatically entered into the ʻAi Pono 2023 Prize Drawing.
Set your own bar for the challenge. Challenge yourself to expand your personal efforts to source local foods by eating as much Kauaʻi grown, raised & harvested food as possible for the entire week, within your budget/ability.
Use the Scavenger Hunt Card as a guide and for more chances to enter. Post about your ʻAi Pono experience on social media using #aipono2023 and submit your scorecard for 2 more entries into the prize drawing!
