Post Hurricane Lowell: Resources and Help Kauaʻi Recover
Kauaʻi is still in the early stages of recovery following Hurricanes Lowell. Approximately 40% of the island remains without power, many communities are still without running water or are under boil-water advisories, and debris continues to block or impact roads.
Families are still assessing damage and figuring out what they need. With both air cargo and barge service out of operation for the immediate future, getting supplies to the island will also be challenging.
We will share information about coordinated supply drives as those efforts develop. For now, one of the most helpful things we can do is connect people directly with available assistance.
Please share these resources widely, both with people who need help and with those who are able to provide financial support.

Kauaʻi VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster) is coordinating nonprofits and community partners to connect impacted residents with available assistance.

Reporting your needs helps organizations across Kauaʻi understand where assistance is needed and coordinate available resources.

DIRECT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: STORM KŌKUA
Hawaiʻi Mutual Aid Network's Storm Kōkua connects donors directly with verified families, ʻohana, farms, and businesses impacted by Hurricanes Lowell and Lala.
At this time, only two Kauaʻi families have submitted and been verified, so please help us get this resource to more people who have experienced significant losses.

Mālama Kauaʻi is directing donations to people whose homes and farms were impacted by Hurricane Lowell. Donations are tax-deductible.

If you’re on Kauaʻi and able to lend a hand, join the Mālama Kauaʻi Volunteers Facebook Group. The group is helping connect volunteers with people and organizations requesting assistance and sharing opportunities for cleanup and other recovery efforts.
Right now, sharing these resources is incredibly important. Please forward this email, post the links in community groups, and send them directly to friends, family, neighbors, farmers, and others who may need assistance.
Many people are still assessing their losses and may not know where to turn for help. The more people we reach, the better we can connect our ʻohana with available resources.
